The original rules say nothing about it, but the way we have always played is if someone puts down a draw 2, the next person can also put down a draw 2 in which the next player would pick up four cards, unless they can continue laying down draw 2 cards.

Also draw 4's can be laid on top of draw 4's for the next player to have to pick up 8 or so on...but draw 4's can not be laid on draw 2's or vice versa.

Does anyone else play this way?

The official UNO rules don't say anything about it, but as for all games, house rules can add new twists to the game.

Now while I don't play like that, we play very similar to the book, but I haven't played in so long that I forget exactly how to play.
