Damn, 8 parts...no way. I watched the first part and it's enough for me.
I never really liked "the sport" anyway. To me, it's 25% real, and 75% theatrics. Just look at some of the outfits, worse than Gene Simmons of KISS. |

I used to watch wrestling until WWE took over the entire sport. Now I only watch MMA stuff. _________________ This message was brought to you by:

Yeah, my mom actually went to wrestling matches back in the day when it still had a "real" element to it.
Now it seems that it's all a choreographed stage-act. |

thats exactly what that documentaries about.
It explains, it never was real, but if it's not real, and people know it, why do they watch it? It gets a ot better after the first chapter. 1, 2, where kind of a bore, 3, 4, 5 where the better parts, 6, 7, 8 kind of repeated itself too much.
Being an ex-Pro Wrestler, if people watch that documentary, they'd stop asking the same old questions, "is wrestling fake".... well, we didn't try to belt each others brains out, but there is a certain degree of punishment you will endure, and anyone who thinks you walk out of that ring without a bump or a scratch on you, ready for your white with 2 and and a copy of the NY Times is the one who believes in a fakeness a real wrestler could only dream was possible.
Still, we admitted it's fake, unlike the rigged TV shows on now where they shove a poofter down your throat, pretend he has become larger then life, have him win Americas crappiest Idol, make a terrible album, release it, buy off the press to make it #1, make a few million, then quit promoting him, let the reality of it kick in with the idiots dumb enough to think he really was popular with everyone, let him fade out of the public eye and find someone else to do it with all over again.... unless of coarse the case is Britney, and she will show or suck anything off to keep hanging on as tight to her 15 minutes of fame she once had. _________________

I don't deny the fact that wrestlers get hurt doing what they do...I just question the authenticity of whatever it is I see.
That's why I don't really watch it at all. I'd watch soccer before I watch a full wrestling match (ok, maybe that is a stretch). I'm from the southeastern US (where things like wrestling and racing are supposed to be big), and I don't like it.
I prefer something like baseball or (American) football to something like wrestling.
But regarding American Idol, I don't watch it. I think that America has gotten it wrong more times than right, cause only two of the six are still famous. The other ones just bombed out worse than Britney Spears's music career. |
